Why Is Artist Frank Millet Important to East Bridgewater?

Native son, born 1846 died 1912, on the Titanic, Francis David Millet, known as Frank during his life, became one of the 19th century's most influential leaders in the cultural arts in America.

Lifelong friend Mark Twain said of Frank, "That he had the divine something in whose presence the evil in people fled away."

Learn more about the library collection of Millet artwork and his impact on our lives even today at this event at the East Bridgewater Public Library, 32 Union Street on Saturday, March 16 at 10:00am in the Millet Room.

Presented by Michael G. Sullivan, Millet Scholar.

You'll have the unique opportunity to see researchers from Utah Valley University-Millet Symposium cataloging and documenting our unique collection of Frank Millet paintings, and personal items.
