Household Hazardous Waste Collection

The South Shore Recycling Cooperative will hold a series of household hazardous waste collection events this spring in several communities. Residents of East Bridgewater are eligible to participate.

 

Registration is required, to reduce wait times. 

The addresses of the events are revealed on the registration form

 

The events will occur on:

 

Saturday, April 6 from 9am to 1pm (no latex/acrylic paint) - Weymouth

Saturday, April 20 from 9am to 1pm (no latex/acrylic paint) - Plymouth

Saturday, May 4 from 9am to 1pm (usable latex/acrylic paint and stain accepted) - Hanover

Saturday, May 18 from 9am to 1pm (no latex/acrylic paint) - Hingham

Saturday, June 8 from 9am to 1pm (no latex/acrylic paint) - Duxbury

Saturday, June 15 from 9am to 1pm (no latex/acrylic paint) - Scituate

 

Latex/acrylic paint "cleans up with soap and water". Please separate it from your hazardous material. It will be recycled into Recolor Paints in Hanover.  Water based paint/coatings may also be dried and disposed with regular trash.  More paint info here.

We really mean it when we say NO LATEX/ ACRYLIC PAINT.  It slows down the line for everyone. If you bring it, our staff might give you the stink-eye and ask you to step out of line to sort it from the hazardous stuff.
